Our young, international team of automation engineers, hardware and software developers is working on the networked, digital production of the future.
The interdisciplinary character and international composition of our team provides creative impulses for our work.
Flat hierarchies and a pronounced start-up spirit characterize the cooperation within our constantly growing team. Together, we want to help shape the smart factory of tomorrow and drive the transformation towards the digital factory.
GPS was founded in 1999 as a spin-off from the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Engineering and Automation in Stuttgart and has successfully participated in numerous national and European research projects in robotics. Over time, the focus of activities increasingly shifted to the Industry 4.0 sector.
Since March 2017, GPS has been part of the Schmalz Group, the world market leader in vacuum technology for automation, handling and clamping technology. Since then, it has focused on the development of digital solutions for data provision, aggregation and visualization in production and logistics within the Industry 4.0 environment.
